Résumé : |
"In this book Tony Clifford gives a clear and uncluttered account of the basic physical principles underlying the use of supercritical fluids. Nex topics, such as the principles of supercritical fluid fractionation, are covered for the first time. The approach is rigorous theoretically, maintaining clarity by avoiding unnecessary detail; some experimental examples are given to illustrate the principles. The book is comprehensive, covering basic topics surch as phase behaviour; thermodynamic properties; transport properties, especially diffusion; the effect of intermolecular forces; structure, and fluctuations. Applications of the principles, namely separation methods and chemical reactions, are also described.
The book will be useful to experimental scientists and engineers doing research and development in supercritical fluids, both in universities and industry, and postgraduates in chemistry or chemical engineering who needs to learn the basics." |
