Functionalised N-Heterocyclic Carbenes Complexes / Olaf Kuhl
Titre : Functionalised N-Heterocyclic Carbenes Complexes Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Olaf Kuhl Editeur : Chichester : Wiley Année de publication : 2010 Importance : ix, 353 p. Présentation : ill. Format : 26 cm ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-0-470-68584-6 Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Chimie de coordination, Chimie organométallique, Métaux de transition Tags : LIGANDS HETEROCYCLIC COMPOUNDS TRANSITION METAL COMPLEXES Index. décimale : B-D Résumé : "N-heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) have found increasing use as reagents for a range of organic transformations and in asymmetric organocatalysis. The performance of these molecules can be improved and tuned by functionalisation. Functionalised carbenes can anchor free carbenes to the metal site, introduce hemilability, provide a means to immobilise transition metal carbene catalysts, introduce chirality, provide a chelate ligand or bridge two metal centres. NHC can be attached to carbohydrates and campher, derived from amino acids and purines, they can be used as organocatalysts mimicking vitamin B1 or as weak “solvent” donors in lanthanide chemistry.
Functionalised N-Heterocyclic Carbene Complexes describes major trends in functionalised NHC ligands, aiming to assist readers in their attempts to develop and apply their own functionalised carbenes. After an introduction to the chemistry and behaviour of NHC, the book gives a detailed description of functionalised carbenes and their complexes according to a range of functional groups, each with a discussion of the synthetic route, structure, stability and performance.
Functionalised N-Heterocyclic Carbene Complexes is an essential guide to fine-tuning this important class of compounds for practitioners, researchers and advanced students working in synthetic organometallic and organic chemistry and catalysis."Cote : B-D177 (SdS) Num_Inv : 3005 Functionalised N-Heterocyclic Carbenes Complexes [texte imprimé] / Olaf Kuhl . - Chichester : Wiley, 2010 . - ix, 353 p. : ill. ; 26 cm.

Titre : Phosphorus-31 NMR spectroscopy : a concise introduction for the synthetic organic and organometallic chemist Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Olaf Kuhl Editeur : Berlin : Springer Année de publication : 2008 Importance : xiv, 131 p. Présentation : ill. ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-3-540-79117-1 Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Technologies, Méthodes, Réactions Tags : NUCLEAR MAGNETIC RESONANCE SPECTROSCOPY NMR SPECTROSCOPY PHOSPHORIMETRY Index. décimale : B-B Résumé : "The book is intended for an audience already familiar with proton and carbon NMR and commencing research in phosphane chemistry (broadly defined)." "It is the primary aim of this book to enable the reader to identify the main factors governing the phosphorus chemical shift values in the 31P-NMR spectrum and to make an educated guess as to where the phosphorus resonance(s) of a given target compound can be expected. It is not within the scope of this book to enable one to predict a phosphorus chemical shift precisely or even within a reasonable margin of error, with a few notable exceptions. The further intent of this book is to assist the reader in determining important issues like bond order, p-bonding contributions from substituents, the existence or non-existence of metallacycles etc., in short, to make structural assignments without the aid of X-ray crystal structure determinations and to explain structural differences in solution and the solid state where appropriate."
