A total of 225 scientists attended, including workers from 12 countries. A very wide range of fields was represented, including semiconductor, atomic, and metal physics, physical, organic, inorganic, and analytical chemistry, catalysis, and several others. Each formal session included one or two invited papers and up to five contributed papers.
