Aqueous organometallic catalysis / Ferenc Joó
Titre : Aqueous organometallic catalysis Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Ferenc Joó Editeur : Dordrecht : Springer Année de publication : 2001 Collection : Catalysis by Metal Complexes, ISSN 0920-4652 num. 23 Importance : x, 300 p. Présentation : tab. Format : 25 cm ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-1-4020-0195-6 Langues : Anglais (eng) Tags : PHASE-TRANSFER CATALYSIS ORGANOMETALLIC COMPOUNDS Index. décimale : EQ -Equipe- Résumé : "Over the past 20 years aqueous organometallic catalysis has found applications in small- scale organic synthesis in the laboratory, as well as in the industrial production of chemicals with a combined output close to one million tons per year. Aqueous/organic two-phase reactions allow easy product-catalyst separation and full catalyst recovery which mean clear benefits not only in economic but also in environmental and green chemistry contexts. Instead of putting together a series of expert reviews of specialized fields, this book attempts to give a comprehensive yet comprehensible description of the various catalytic transformations in aqueous systems as seen by an author who has been working on aqueous organometallic catalysis since its origin. Emphasis is put on the discussion of differences between related non-aqueous and aqueous processes due to the presence of water. The book will be of interest to experts and students working in catalysis, inorganic chemistry or organic synthesis, and may serve as a basis for advanced courses." Titre : Electronic properties of organic conductors Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Mori, Takehiko, Auteur Editeur : Dordrecht : Springer Année de publication : 2016 Importance : x, 356 p. ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-4-431-55263-5 Note générale : Provides an accessible introduction to solid state physics for chemists without assuming any background in physics
Introduces energy bands as an extension of molecular orbitals
Presents easy-to-follow equations, with units that are not difficult to convertLangues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Matériaux Tags : QUANTUM CHEMISTRY MAGNETISM ELECTRONICS-MATERIALS Index. décimale : B-G Résumé : This book provides an easily understandable introduction to solid state physics for chemists and engineers. Band theory is introduced as an extension of molecular orbital theory, and its application to organic materials is described. Phenomena beyond band theory are treated in relation to magnetism and electron correlation, which are explained in terms of the valence bond theory and the Coulomb and exchange integrals. After the fundamental concepts of magnetism are outlined, the relation of correlation and superconductivity is described without assuming a knowledge of advanced physics. Molecular design of organic conductors and semiconductors is discussed from the standpoint of oxidation-reduction potentials, and after a brief survey of organic superconductors, various applications of organic semiconductor devices are described. This book will be useful not only for researchers but also for graduate students as a valuable reference. Note de contenu : " * Quantum Chemistry of Molecules

Présentation : ill. Format : 24 cm ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-94-007-1453-3 Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Catalyse Tags : ASYMMETRIC SYNTHESIS CATALYSIS GREEN TECHNOLOGY Index. décimale : B-E Résumé : "Nowadays, chirality is widely accepted as an important factor in molecular recognition processes and the biological activity of many pharmaceutical drugs and agrochemicals; this is confirmed by the continuous need for synthetic methods which lead to single or enriched enantiomers of such compounds.
By presenting a review of the various and more recently developed approaches for both metal-transition and organocatalysis, this volume describes the development of “greener” asymmetric reactions which preserve stereoselectivity.
The author summarizes the impressive amount of research that has been gathered within this field into three chapters focusing on: i)the search of alternative catalysts, ii) alternative solvents, and iii) alternative synthetic strategies and processes. For each topic, the fundamentals and some valuable applications are discussed."Cote : B-E052 (SdS) Num_Inv : 3222 Green approaches to asymmetric catalytic synthesis [texte imprimé] / Angela Patti . - Dordrecht : Springer, 2011 . - xiv, 140 p. : ill. ; 24 cm. - (Springer Briefs in Molecular Science) .

Specific attention is devoted to catalysts containing imine- and amine-based ligands.
All the chapters in this book have been designed to provide a systematic account of the vast amount of information available for this type of catalyst as well as to highlight the factors that ultimately control the catalyst’s performance and productivity. A comprehensive panorama of catalyst precursors is presented, spanning from group 10 ?-diimine complexes and iron and cobalt 2,6-bis(imino)pyridine derivatives, to vanadium, chromium, titanium, zirconium and lanthanide complexes supported by nitrogen-containing ligands. The authors of this collective work are currently involved in the development of imine-based catalysts for efficient and selective olefin upgrading and the majority of them have dedicated most of their scientific career to this important field. In writing this book, their major goal is to transfer as many ideas and experiences as possible to the global audience of scientists engaged in this area of research."Cote : B-E046 (SdS) Num_Inv : 3133 Olefin Upgrading Catalysis by Nitrogen-based Metal Complexes I : State-of-the-art and Perspectives [texte imprimé] / Juan Campora, Éditeur scientifique ; Giuliano Giambastiani, Éditeur scientifique . - Dordrecht : Springer, 2011 . - xii, 287p. : ill. ; 24 cm. - (Catalysis by Metal Complexes, ISSN 0920-4652; 35) .
