Mass spectrometry: An applied approach / Marek Smoluch
Titre : Mass spectrometry: An applied approach Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Marek Smoluch, Éditeur scientifique ; Giuseppe Grasso, Éditeur scientifique ; Piotr Suder, Éditeur scientifique ; Jerzy Silberring, Éditeur scientifique Mention d'édition : Second edition Editeur : Hoboken : John Wiley & Sons Année de publication : 2019 Collection : Wiley Series on Mass Spectroscopy Importance : xxi, 418 p. ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-1-119-37730-6 Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Technologies, Méthodes, Réactions Tags : MASS SPECTROSCOPY SPECTRUM ANALYSIS Résumé : "Mass spectrometry is a modern analytical technique, allowing for fast and ultrasensitive detection and identification of chemical species. It can serve for analysis of narcotics, counterfeit medicines, components of explosives, but also in clinical chemistry, forensic research and anti-doping analysis, for identification of clinically relevant molecules as biomarkers of various diseases. This book describes everything readers need to know about mass spectrometry—from the instrumentation to the theory and applications. It looks at all aspects of mass spectrometry, including inorganic, organic, forensic, and biological MS (paying special attention to various methodologies and data interpretation). It also contains a list of key terms for easier and faster understanding of the material by newcomers to the subject and test questions to assist lecturers. Titre : Basic principles of spectroscopy Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Raymond Chang Editeur : New York : Mc-Graw Hill Année de publication : 1971 Importance : ix, 304 p. ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-0-07-010517-1 Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Technologies, Méthodes, Réactions Tags : SPECTRUM ANALYSIS RAMAN SPECTROSCOPY SPECTROSCOPY Résumé : "“The text is sophisticated enough to require at least a standard full-year physical chemistry course as a prerequisite, and yet simple enough so that the student does not get hogged down in the mathematics, which is sometimes a fault of the more advanced texts in spectroscopy. Raymond Chang points out in his preface that the book is mainly designed to acquaint the student with the general aspects of spectroscopy rather than to make him a specialist in any two or three areas. The first chapter is an excellent review of quantum mechanics and its application to spectroscopy at a level which should challenge the student, even after having covered much of this material in his undergraduate physical chemistry course. The second chapter deals with molecular symmetry and group theory, which also may be a review. The next few chapters proceed to cover the more familiar areas of spectroscopy, such as nuclear magnetic resonance, nuclear quadrupole resonance, MBssbauer, electron spin resonance, microwave, infrared, Raman and electronic. Electronic spectroscopy is conveniently separated into the spectroscopy of atoms, the spectroscopy of diatomic molecules, and the spectroscopy of polyatomic molecules. The last few chapters cover photoluminescence, optical rotatory dispersion, masers and lasers, and photoelectron spectroscopy, areas which may not be as familiar to the student. At the end of each chapter are a number of texts which are suggested for further reading...” Cote : B-B031 (SdS) Num_Inv : 151 Basic principles of spectroscopy [texte imprimé] / Raymond Chang . - New York : Mc-Graw Hill, 1971 . - ix, 304 p.
