Titre : Basic principles of spectroscopy Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Raymond Chang Editeur : New York : McGraw-Hill Année de publication : 1971 Importance : ix, 304 p. ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-0-07-010517-1 Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Méthodes d'Analyses Tags : SPECTRUM ANALYSIS RAMAN SPECTROSCOPY SPECTROSCOPY Résumé : "“The text is sophisticated enough to require at least a standard full-year physical chemistry course as a prerequisite, and yet simple enough so that the student does not get hogged down in the mathematics, which is sometimes a fault of the more advanced texts in spectroscopy. Raymond Chang points out in his preface that the book is mainly designed to acquaint the student with the general aspects of spectroscopy rather than to make him a specialist in any two or three areas. The first chapter is an excellent review of quantum mechanics and its application to spectroscopy at a level which should challenge the student, even after having covered much of this material in his undergraduate physical chemistry course. The second chapter deals with molecular symmetry and group theory, which also may be a review. The next few chapters proceed to cover the more familiar areas of spectroscopy, such as nuclear magnetic resonance, nuclear quadrupole resonance, MBssbauer, electron spin resonance, microwave, infrared, Raman and electronic. Electronic spectroscopy is conveniently separated into the spectroscopy of atoms, the spectroscopy of diatomic molecules, and the spectroscopy of polyatomic molecules. The last few chapters cover photoluminescence, optical rotatory dispersion, masers and lasers, and photoelectron spectroscopy, areas which may not be as familiar to the student. At the end of each chapter are a number of texts which are suggested for further reading...” Cote : B-B031 (SdS) Num_Inv : 151 Basic principles of spectroscopy [texte imprimé] / Raymond Chang . - New York : McGraw-Hill, 1971 . - ix, 304 p.

Titre : Carbon-13 NMR spectroscopy : high-resolution methods and applications in organic chemistry and biochemistry Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Eberhard Breitmaier, Auteur ; Wolfgang Voelter, Auteur Mention d'édition : Third edition Editeur : New-York : VCH Année de publication : 1989 Importance : xvi, 515 p. ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-3-527-26466-7 Langues : Anglais (eng) Tags : ORGANIC CHEMISTRY SPECTROSCOPY CARBON-Isotopes Index. décimale : EQ -Equipe- Résumé : "completely revised edition New techniques and increased use of computers have led to rapid development in 13C NMR spectroscopy with enhanced instrumental sensitivity and improved quality of the spectra. This necessitated a complete revision when the third edition of this successful monograph was prepared. The new methods described include those for multiplicity analysis and two-dimensional homo- or hetero-nuclear shift correlations. As in the second edition, the authors survey the large number of 13C NMR applications to organic molecules and natural products in a representative and systematic rather than an exhaustive way. New sections about coupling constants, organophosphorus and organometallic compounds as well as synthetic polymers have been added. The scope remains limited to high-resolution methods and molecular systems." Titre : Current developments in solid state NMR spectroscopy Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Norbert Muller, Éditeur scientifique ; Perunthiruthy K. Madhu, Éditeur scientifique Editeur : Wien : Springer Année de publication : 2003 Importance : viii, 132 p. Présentation : ill. Format : 29 cm ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-3-211-83894-5 Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Méthodes d'Analyses Tags : SPECTROSCOPY NUCLEAR MAGNETIC RESONANCE SPECTROSCOPY NMR SPECTROSCOPY SOLID STATE CHEMISTRY Index. décimale : B-B Résumé : "This book presents some of the latest developments in solid state NMR with potential applications in both materials and biological science. The main emphasis is on a strong link between theory and experiment via numerical simulation of NMR spectra which play a pivotal role in the design and development of pulse schemes in solid state NMR. The papers focus on non-biological topics of solid state NMR spectroscopy making the book useful for scientists and advanced students in chemistry, physics, and materials science striving for deeper understanding of this topic and its application potential. Three invited reviews focus on developments in solid state NMR of quadrupolar nuclei, which are of high interest in areas like materials science and heterogeneous catalysis."
