Ionic liquids in synthesis / Peter Wasserscheid
Titre : Ionic liquids in synthesis Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Peter Wasserscheid, Éditeur scientifique ; Thomas Welton, Éditeur scientifique Editeur : Weinheim : Wiley-VCH Année de publication : 2003 Importance : xvi, 364 p. Format : 25 cm ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-3-527-30515-5 Langues : Anglais (eng) Tags : ORGANIC COMPOUNDS-Synthesis IONIC SOLUTIONS Index. décimale : EQ -Equipe- Résumé : "The demand for increasingly clean and efficient chemical syntheses is becoming more urgent from both an economic and an environmental standpoint. The development of ionic liquids that are fluid at room temperature is a major advance in green chemistry. These new green "designer-solvents" are less toxic and therefore more environmnetally friendly. This book brings together the latest developments in this fascinating field:
* It guides readers through both theory and application of this new approach
* The editors are pioneers on this cutting-edge field of research
* It is relevant to industry as these solvents prove to be cost-effective
Ionic Liquids in Synthesis serves as both an introduction to the field and as a source of advanced material for experts."Cote : LCC/G Num_Inv : 2619 Ionic liquids in synthesis [texte imprimé] / Peter Wasserscheid, Éditeur scientifique ; Thomas Welton, Éditeur scientifique . - Weinheim : Wiley-VCH, 2003 . - xvi, 364 p. ; 25 cm.

Titre : Metal ions in aqueous solution Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : John P. Hunt Editeur : New-York : W. A. Benjamin Année de publication : 1963 Collection : The physical inorganic chemistry series Importance : xi, 124 p. Langues : Anglais (eng) Tags : IONIC SOLUTIONS SOLUTION-Chemistry METAL IONS Résumé : "This book is intended to be an introduction to research in the area of aqueous solution for curious and skillful investigators, as well as a supplementary text for an advanced inorganic chemistry sequence.
... The first chapter compares the chemical properties of gaseous and aqueous ions. This leads him in Chapter 2 into a discussion of the thermodynamics of ion hydration, hydration enthalpies, and entropies. The dangers inherent in using single ion values are pointed out. Chapter 3 pertains to the structure of water and ionic solutions. It includes a discussion and evaluation of the various models for calculating hydration enthalpies of ions. Crystal Field effects are discussed briefly. Chapter 4 describes hydrolysis and related phenomena; both anionic and cationic species are discussed briefly. In Chapter 5 the author elaborates on the basic concept of equilibrium involving complex ion and molecules. Chapter 6 reviews rather briefly some of the theoretical and experimental aspects of ratio and mechanisms. Substitution, aquation, and exchange reaction of some complexes are discussed. Chapter 7 pertains to electron transfer reactions and their mechanism.
... This book is recommended for undergraduates interested in this field."Cote : B-D080 (SdS) Num_Inv : 315 Metal ions in aqueous solution [texte imprimé] / John P. Hunt . - New-York : W. A. Benjamin, 1963 . - xi, 124 p.. - (The physical inorganic chemistry series) .
