Titre : High- and low-valent tris-N-heterocyclic carbene iron complexes : a study of molecular and electronic structure Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Carola S. Vogel Editeur : Berlin : Springer Année de publication : 2012 Importance : xviii, 132p. Présentation : 98 illus., 66 illus. in color. ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-3-642-27253-0 Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Chimie de Coordination, Chimie Organométallique, Chimie Inorganique Tags : CARBENE LIGANDS HIGH VALENT IRON IRON NITRIDES MOSSBAUER SPECTROSCOPY SPIN CROSSOVER Index. décimale : B-D Résumé : "Carola Vogel’s PhD thesis focuses on the synthesis, and structural and spectroscopic characterization of the first high valent iron nitride complexes. In her interdisciplinary and collaborative research Carola also describes the reactivity studies of a unique iron (V) nitride complex with water. These studies show that quantitative yields of ammonia are given at ambient conditions. High valent iron nitride and oxo species have been proposed as key intermediates in many bio-catalytic transformations, but until now these species have proven exceedingly challenging to isolate and study. Iron complexes in high oxidation states can thus serve as models for iron-containing enzymes to help us understand biological systems or aid our development of more efficient industrial catalysts." Titre : Luminescent spin crossover nanomaterials: physical properties and applications Titre original : Nanomatériaux luminescents à transition de spin : propriétés physiques et applications Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Quintero Pinzon, Carlos Mario, Auteur ; Gabor Molnar, Directeur de thèse Année de publication : 2012 Langues : Anglais (eng) Tags : NANOPARTICLES SPIN LUMINESCENCE SPIN CROSSOVER SOFT-LITHOGRAPHY MICROTHERMOMETRY NANO-MATERIALS
NANOPARTICULES NANO-MATERIALSRésumé : "The main objective of this thesis is to provide a new protocol that permits the detection of the spin crossover (SCO) phenomenon in a single nano-object. To accomplish this, we propose luminescence as a highly sensitive technique that may be employed at scales where other conventional methods are no longer effective. We aimed to develop SCO nano-materials with luminescence properties in order to isolate these objects, address them and then probe their properties via luminescent detection. Methods ranging from random to directed microcappilary assembly of SCO nanoparticles and also in situ synthesis of isolated luminescent SCO objects (ca. 150 nm) based on soft lithographic techniques were explored. At the same time, their investigation in fluorescence microscopy is shown and the experimental challenges that this task imposed are discussed. Also, the potential application of these hybrid materials in microthermometry is studied. As a proof of concept, thin films of luminescent SCO systems were employed to obtain thermal cartographies of gold micro - nanowires heated by Joule effect."

"The dissertation is devoted to the preparation of some nanoobjects based upon spin crossover complex [Fe(hptrz)3](OTs)2 (where hptrz is 4-heptyl-1,2,4-triazole), their morphology and properties study. By reaction in reverse microemulsions the spin crossover nanoparticles of 35-70 nm in size and with a different aggregation rate were obtained. The lust was achieved varying the quantities of reagents and water in micellar system. Different approaches toward nano- and microobjects of the complex in homogeneous media were developed. It was found that a direct reaction between salt and ligand, depending on the solvent and the stabilizer, can result in nanoparticles of different size and morphology. The method of complex precipitation allowed to obtain the small nanoparticles with a size related effect. The thin films with spin crossover were elaborated by deposition of the complex from its solution in chloroform. This complex was also structured onto surface by means of soft lithography. Spin transition in these nanoobjects onto surface was studied by UV spectroscopy. Optical diffraction and delocalized plasmon resonance were firstly used for the detection of spin state change in 35 nm film, and also for the detection of methanol. The fluorescent approach permitted to follow the spin crossover phenomenon in a single nanoobject."Document : Thèse de doctorat Etablissement_delivrance : Université de Toulouse 3 en Cotutelle avec Kiïvs?kij nacìonal?nij unìversitet imeni Tarasa Šev?enka (Kiïv) Date_soutenance : 26/10/2012 Ecole_doctorale : Sciences de la matière (SdM) Domaine : Chimie Organométallique de Coordination - CO 043 En ligne : https://theses.fr/2012TOU30277 Nano-objets à transition de spin : élaboration, organisation sur des surfaces et étude de leurs propriétés physiques par des méthodes optiques = Spin crossover nanoobjects : preparation, organization onto surfaces and study of their bistability by optical methods [texte imprimé] / Guralskyi, Illia, Auteur ; Azzedine Bousseksou, Directeur de thèse ; Fritsky, Igor, Directeur de thèse . - 2012.
